Therapeutic Approach:

Ruby Watts is a Registered Counselling Therapist- Candidate. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies from Concordia University, and a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Ruby worked in disability and child care work, providing a compassionate space for individuals and children to grow and thrive in independence, recreational activities, emotional regulation, and personal connection.

Ruby is committed to providing a space for individuals and couples to get in touch with themselves using a client-centered, empowering, collaborative approach. Ruby offers a warm, compassionate, grounding therapeutic space for folks experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, emotional regulation, LGBTQ+ identity exploration, and relationship issues. 

Ruby’s therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Method to provide a tailored approach that understands clients have unique needs. The space that Ruby provides is non-judgemental, open, and collaborative.
