Vanessa’s Therapeutic Approach:

Vanessa Gray is a Licensed Counselling Therapist Candidate (LCT-C) and Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) who is passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journey. She resides in New Brunswick and offers virtual sessions to residents of Nova Scotia, ensuring her care is accessible across the region.

Vanessa knows that reaching out for counselling can feel intimidating, so she creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their stories. Her approach is client-centred and collaborative, meaning she tailors therapy to each person’s unique needs while encouraging them to take an active role in their growth.

Her background includes both private practice and the non-profit sector, where she has supported individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, ADHD, trauma, depression, grief, disordered eating, racial identity concerns, and difficulties with sleep. She began her career in a trauma-informed clinic, providing individual therapy and co-facilitating groups on mindfulness and healing, and has also led support groups for teens and young adults.

Vanessa uses evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and internal family systems (IFS). By integrating these methods, she helps clients gain clarity, build coping tools, and strengthen resilience.
